ASPDA’s vision is to empower its members to be the authority in sports and performance nutrition. ASPDA is committed to providing resources that strive toward this vision and support ongoing growth of the profession. Benchmarking of salary and compensation data that accurately reflects the unique state of the profession is an important part of sports and performance RD growth and advocacy.

In 2018, ASPDA conducted their first salary survey, and in 2022, ASPDA conducted a four-year follow-up salary survey. ASPDA contracted the Datalys Center for Sports Injury Research and Prevention, Inc., an independent third party, to conduct their 2026 salary survey. The overarching goal of the salary survey is to capture data that help define sports and performance RD demographics, experience, roles and employment sectors, and compensation as well as examine trends over time.
