Education Hub User Guide

The ASPDA Education Hub provides access to a research library, recorded webinars, and specialized education courses for SIG and Student members. If you have any questions or need assistance after reading this guide, please email Michele Nichols, Member Service Manager, at [email protected].

Education Hub Login

On the Education Hub home page, click the 'Login' button in the top right corner.

  • If you accessed the Education Hub from your member account, you still need to click the 'Login' button.
  • If you bookmarked the Education Hub landing page and are not logged in to the ASPDA member platform, please make sure you log in using your ASPDA username and password.

Research Library

This member-curated repository is updated monthly by the research committee. A list of the most recent research summaries can be found at the top of the library.

Sports RD and Allied Healthcare members can view and download the PDF files as part of their ASPDA member benefits. Student members can copy the article title and use their institution's library system to access the article.

To access the paper, click on the box containing the article title and hover your cursor over the title. The title will become underlined, and you can click the title to view the PDF. Due to the large number of papers in the Research Library, you may notice a delay in retrieving the article.

Topics may be categorized under various subtopics. For example, papers on calcium research could be listed under 'Adolescent Athletes,' 'bone health,' or another subtopic. Use the find shortcut by pressing 'Ctrl+F' on a PC, or 'Command+F' on a Mac. Type in what you are looking for in the search box that pops up. Keep in mind that international journals may use an alternative spelling (e.g. 'Randomised Control Trial' instead of 'Randomized Control Trial').

Recorded Webinars and Virtual Events

There is a small list of courses shown on the Education Hub landing page. To see a complete list of ASPDA courses, click the 'Show All Courses' button listed just under the course boxes. You can also click 'See Courses You Own' to see a list of courses in your account.

Once you find a course you're interested in, click the 'Details' button to open the course.

On the course page, there is a description of the course content. Some courses are free to members, while others have a price. In the example below, members can watch the course for free, while non-members can purchase access to the course for $20. If you buy a course, your confirmation email will have more information on how to access your course.

Underneath the cost information is the course material. This could be a recording or a PDF. Some courses have multiple materials. In the example below, this course has one recorded session. To access the recording, hover your cursor over the words 'Recorded Session' and click on the title.

Helpful Hint: If the title does not underline when you hover your cursor over the title, you are most likely not logged in to the Education Hub. Make sure you click the 'Login' button in the upper right corner of the page to log in.

After you click on the course material, the course becomes part of your account. To access the same course in the future Education Hub visit, click 'My Account' in the upper right corner, then click 'My Courses' in the drop-down menu.
