Nitric oxide (NO) has gained significant attention for its potential role in supporting sport performance, yet questions remain regarding when and how it can be effectively applied in practice. This webinar will review the current evidence on nitric oxide–related interventions and their effects on endurance capacity, repeated sprint ability, and power output. Differences in physiological demands between continuous and intermittent sports will be discussed to help guide practitioner decision-making. The session will also examine how environmental stressors, including heat, altitude, and hypoxic conditions, may influence nitric oxide availability and performance outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on translating research findings into practical dosing and timing strategies that are realistic within team and individual sport settings.
Learning Objectives:
1. Assess the evidence supporting nitric oxide–related interventions for endurance, intermittent performance, and power output across different sport demands and environmental conditions.
2. Apply practical dosing and timing strategies for nitric oxide interventions within real-world sport nutrition practice.
